On April 20, 2012, a new little joyful blessing was brought into this world. Jaisen Edward Deering, 7 pounds 15 ounces, 20 inches long born at 8:33 in the evening. I am looking forward to every minute I am able to spend with my grandson.

Angi and Matt are all move in...

On Saturday, April 14, 2012 I was able to help Angi and Matt move to Missouri. Angi got a promotion to a first manager at a new Menards. It was a 7 and a 1/2 hour drive down there to Cape Girardeau, MO. I am thankful that there was plenty of help to unload their truck of stuff. Matt's parents help along with a friend of Angi's, Scott, Angi and Matt and myself. We got to spend the afternoon unloading the truck which I feel we did in a short period of time for the amount of stuff they have accumulated over the past year since they have been on their own.

I want to add that this trip was an accomplishment for myself. I am not usually the one doing the driving on long trips. This trip was a little over 400 miles and I was able to drive by myself with no help what so ever. Usually on long trips I am in the passenger seat doing what I do best....sleeping.  The only passenger that was in my car on the  way down to Cape Girardeau was Simba (Angi's cat). The drive home only took 6 hours. The boys (Matt and Scott) and I had a lot of fun and laughs on the way back. I look forward to driving down there to see Angi and Matt on a 3 day weekend. I haven't set up the next visit as Angi doesn't have a set schedule as of yet.

Well, this will be quite a growing up experience for Angi and Matt. By moving to another state and being on their own. I miss my Angi very much. Thank goodness for the internet and the telephone. I can still talk to her everyday.

Baby Blanket

This is a project I started months ago and I have finally have finished. This is a baby blanket that I have made for my new grandson, Jaisen Edward, who will be born sometime in the next three or so weeks. This is a sense of accomplishment for me because, I know that when I start some projects I never finish them all the way. I want to give a big thank you to my friend/co-worker Sue who has helped me with this blanket. I couldn't have done it with out her. As soon as baby Jaisen is born,I will get a picture of the little guy wrapped the blanket. I hope this will be something he will cherish and hold on to for the rest of his life or as long as it holds up. I cannot wait to give it to Ashley and Chuck!

.....Angi update.....

Well, it has been a week since Angi interviewed for the Menard's position for Missouri. She received news on Friday, March 2 that Menards would like to hire Angi for the 1st position Front End Manager. As her mom, I have mixed feelings. I am excited that she got the position but, at the same time I am sad. This means she is growing up even more. Heading out on her own - out of state. This will be a big move for her. I am thankful that she will only be 7 hours away. That beats being 2 days away. Of course, I prefer her only being 30 minutes away but, what mom wouldn't prefer that? I am going to miss my daughter being around to go out to lunch on her day off or just stopping in to see me at work. Though, I know I will have some 3 to 4 day weekends where I can go and visit her.

My New Ride......

I am not sure but, some are calling this a mid life crisis. I just recently, (yesterday), purchased a brand new 2011 Chevrolet Camero Convertible. Originally, I was looking at the 2012 Camero Convertible in the Imperial Blue color. If you can't tell, I changed my mind. The color is silver with a black top. I am very pleased with the decision I made. I know it isn't the most practical car for me to have in the winter. Let's just say, I was tired of being practical. I will just have to be the same cautious driver in bad weather as I always have been no matter what kind of car I drive.
